Hello Impact Ecosystem!
It has been an action-packed and highly productive month for SFi. Our inaugural Singapore Roadshow 2025 was a tremendous success, bringing together impact-minded asset owners from Hong Kong and Singapore, and highlighting the need for trust, collaboration, and capital flexibility in pursuing our impact journeys.
We also released our SFi Impact Survey 2025, showing strong commitment from family offices to sustainable finance, with 90% allocating capital to impact investments. Asia Pacific led regional focus, with Nature-Based Solutions and Biodiversity emerging as top themes. SFi was also present at HK Green Week and AtOne Impact Week Singapore, where our CEO Katy Yung spoke on blended finance, the silver economy, and portfolio protection.
Read on for more details on the above. We also look forward to seeing you at our upcoming impact events, including SFi Impact Access, and the Ocean Innovators Platform which we are co-hosting with with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Together let us continue to drive climate resilience and innovative financing!
SFi Inaugural Roadshow: Singapore 2025

SFi successfully hosted our inaugural Roadshow in Singapore on 14–15 September, bringing together impact-minded asset owners from Hong Kong and Singapore to explore the full potential of capital along its continuum.
The event opened with a Deep Time Walk through Singapore’s Botanic Gardens, as we reflected on Earth’s 4.6 billion-year history, and the urgent need to address humanity’s unsustainable resource use. This set the tone the following day for rich dialogue with experts including Patti Chu (Mana Impact), Thomas Knudsen (Rumah Group), Laurence Lien (Asia Philanthropy Circle), and Rico Gonzalez (xChange). We continued with a deep dive alongside Temasek’s team, gaining insights into their strategic and catalytic capital deployment through initiatives like Philanthropy Asia Alliance, Co-Axis, GenZero, Temasek Foundation, Center for Impact Investing and Practices, abcIMPACT, and Temasek Capital. The two-day event concluded with networking drinks graciously hosted by Temasek, connecting us with Singapore’s vibrant local impact ecosystem.
A recurring theme throughout the Roadshow was the imperative for impact investors to overcome the “risk gap”—the challenge that high-risk, early-stage solutions face in securing experimental financing—and to embrace greater flexibility across the capital spectrum. Achieving meaningful impact requires more than funding; it demands trust-building, strategic alignment, collaboration, and a willingness to reconsider conventional capital deployment.
Equally critical is the creation of platforms and networks that bring together diverse stakeholders with a common purpose to foster connectivity, share best practices, and accelerate action. Stay tuned for updates on our next Roadshow - we’ll be back!
Key Findings from SFi Family Office Survey
This month we also released the results from our SFi Impact Survey 2025, highlighting continued strong commitment from Family Offices, Asset Owners and Impact Investors to sustainable finance. Over 90% of respondents indicated they had allocated a portion of their portfolios to sustainable investments, with nearly one in five dedicating more than half their portfolios to these initiatives – proving that impact is core, not niche.

Asia Pacific remains in the spotlight, with 42% of investments focused on the region – we also saw interest surge for Africa, narrowly outpacing both Europe and North America. The hottest themes for 2025 are also exciting, with Nature Based Solutions, Biodiversity, and Regenerative Practices rising to the fore. Investors are targeting urgent social, environmental, and climate-linked opportunities where they matter the most, and family offices are moving beyond traditional giving – venturing boldly into strategies that build real resilience and sustainability. Venture capital and private equity were the most popular asset classes, demonstrating confidence in adopting a hands-on, proactive approach to alternative investment strategies.
But it’s not just about the numbers. Family offices are balancing societal impact with financial returns, exemplifying forward-thinking investment strategies and catalysing positive change. And SFi will continue to accompany them on their journey, challenging the status quo and driving progress in climate, diversity, and systems innovation.

SFi at HK Green Week and AtOne Impact Week Singapore
The SFi team was also honoured with multiple speaking invitations this month. Our CEO, Katy Yung, first spoke at the HKGFA Annual Forum, highlighting blended finance, outcome-based investing, and cross-border partnerships as core pillars reshaping Hong Kong’s sustainable finance landscape. At the AVPN Global Conference, Katy joined experts as they explored Hong Kong’s role as a hub for impact capital, emphasising regional connectivity, institutional frameworks, and innovative financing structures. Our Director of Impact Funds and Ventures, Francesco Stadler, joined a conversation on Financing Climate Resilience at a roundtable hosted by the International Monetary Fund and Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
At AtOne Impact Week in Singapore, Katy moderated a panel exploring the potential of the silver economy, reimagining how ageing should not be viewed as a problem to solve, but instead as an opportunity to embrace. Finally, at Phenix Capital’s Impact Summit Asia Pacific, Katy led a discussion on portfolio protection, exploring strategies for balancing purpose and profit in a volatile world.
