Hello Impact Community,
June has been nothing short of extraordinary – and we’re still riding on the momentum from SFi Impact Week. We welcomed 300+ private investors, family offices, founders and ecosystem builders to our 4th SFi Impact Summit on 3 June in Hong Kong. Under the theme Capital in Action | Impact in Motion, the day unfolded across plenary sessions, workshop salons and the debut of the SFi Innovation Lab – honest, energising and full of purpose.
SFi Impact Week featured 20+ satellite events over the course of the week, deepening the dialogue across ocean finance, natural capital, catalytic investing and beyond. A particular highlight was the closed-door Impact Retreat, co-hosted with The ImPact, where 50 of Asia Pacific's leading impact families gathered for one of the most candid days of exchange we've had the privilege of convening.
Our CEO Katy Yung also joined Give2Asia's Impact Report launch roundtable, contributing to a timely discussion on the real and perceived barriers to impact investing across the region.
Read on for the highlights, and stay tuned for the SFi Family Office Impact Survey 2026 results, that will be published in the coming months.
Recap of SFi Impact Week 2026 | 1 – 5 June, Hong Kong

SFi Impact Summit: Where It All Happens
On 3 June, more than 300 private investors, family offices, founders and ecosystem builders gathered for our 4th SFi Impact Summit, and the energy in the room was electric.
Under this year's theme, Capital in Action | Impact in Motion, the day unfolded across morning plenary sessions, afternoon workshop salons, and the much-anticipated debut of the SFi Innovation Lab – a space designed for exactly the kind of bold, experimental thinking this moment demands.
What We Heard In the Room
The conversations weren't polished talking points. They were authentic, often surprising, and consistently energising. A few themes that kept surfacing:
Asia Pacific is writing its own playbook. Not borrowing from the West, but building something rooted in relationships, long-term thinking and deep local knowledge.
Family offices are evolving. Beyond capital allocators, they're stepping into roles as conveners – bringing people, ideas and resources together around shared values.
Integrity isn't optional. As impact markets scale, rigorous measurement and genuine accountability will be what separates real progress from good intentions.
Nature, climate and communities are inseparable. The most durable solutions hold all three together, and the most compelling investment opportunities may still be the most underfunded ones.
We are not doing this alone. Perhaps the most quietly powerful reminder of the day.
SFi Impact Week: the Conversations Kept Going
SFi Impact Week extended the momentum through a series of satellite events hosted by our ecosystem partners – each one diving deeper into a specialised theme and expanding the circle of the conversation.
From ocean funding and nature-based financing (ADM Capital Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Barclays) to scaling energy innovations and natural capital (CISL, New Forests) — the environmental sessions were as urgent as they were actionable. Simultaneously, organisations including The ImPact, Toniic, Builders Vision, Temasek's Center for Impact Investing and Practices, Earthbanc and others led the charge on mobilising catalytic capital and expanding the broader impact ecosystem. The Yidan Prize Foundation, CHAT and Social Impact Partners rounded out the week with vital conversations on education, cultural heritage and nonprofit resilience.
Together, these events didn't just extend the Summit – they deepened it.
Thank You
None of this happens without the people who show up – to speak, to listen, to challenge, to share. Whether you took the stage, facilitated a salon, joined a satellite event or simply arrived with an open mind, you made SFi Impact Week what it was.
The connections made, the ideas sparked and the commitments shared over the course of the week will act as the catalyst for what comes next.

Katy Yung at Give2Asia's Impact Report Launch
Our CEO Katy Yung recently joined Give2Asia's Impact Report Launch as a roundtable speaker, discussing the state of impact investment across China and Southeast Asia.
Give2Asia's report flags a key barrier: 75% of respondents cite unfamiliarity with using investment for social and environmental objectives. Our SFi Family Office Impact Survey offers an encouraging counterpoint — 63% of family office impact portfolios performed at or above financial targets, proving the risk-return trade-off is more perception than reality.
These are conversations Sustainable Finance Initiative is already acting on. Through the SFi Impact Access series and our broader community activations, we continue to bring together investors and ecosystem builders – bridging the supply and demand sides of the market.

Our events are exclusive to SFi members unless stated otherwise. If you’re not yet part of our community and would like to join our events – along with gaining access to other member benefits – get in touch to learn more about becoming an SFi member.
