Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFi) is pleased to present its inaugural investor-specific survey, which provides insight into the state of the Asian sustainable finance market.
This report builds on our previous work to clarify market challenges and appetite for sustainable finance in Asia, which began with our 2018 publication "Mapping Sustainable Finance in Hong Kong". The goal of this survey is to map the sustainable finance interests and activities of our SFi Investor Circle. Although these findings are generated by a small cohort of investors, they play an important role in informing and motivating wider action in Asia. By understanding investor risk appetites, market challenges, and return and impact expectations, SFi hopes to inspire greater investor action in Asia.
Sustainable Finance initiative (SFi) is a dedicated platform for private investors to learn, connect and invest together as a community, with a mission to mobilise private capital for positive impact and accelerate Hong Kong’s transition towards being a hub for sustainable finance. The platform was incubated by RS Group and launched in June 2018. Since launch, SFi has built a community of private investors who believe in the importance of ESG considerations in their wealth management practices and are increasingly active in the deployment of capital for impact.
